David Turner, President and Chief Executive Officer
David Turner is the president and chief executive officer of Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) Federal, a leading data solutions provider for the federal government. With more than 20 years of experience leading public sector business strategy and business development initiatives for Fortune 100 companies, David uses his extensive background to create the strategic vision and direction for HDS Federal.
Prior to joining HDS Federal, David served as the president of the Applied Technology & Operational Services Group at Akima. While at Akima, he managed the business strategy and was responsible for a portfolio of five companies that served federal defense and civilian clients with mission critical solutions. David’s leadership was also instrumental in forming Akima’s Corporate Development unit, which served as a key driver of the company’s growth. He previously served as senior vice president of Affiliated Computer Services (ACS, now Xerox). David began his career with American Management Systems (AMS, now CGI), ultimately being named senior principal, and then served as director at McDonald Bradley (now ManTech International Corporation).
David earned a B.S. in molecular biology from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh..
Matt Brooks, Chief Operation Officer
Matt Brooks brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, technical, business consulting and program management, and is responsible for the sales growth of HDS Federal’s solutions and services to the federal government. He joined HDS Federal in 2012 as a business development manager, quickly rising to director of systems integrators, before assuming his current role. Prior to joining HDS Federal, Brooks was with Capgemini Government Solutions, supporting the national security business unit and worldwide information technology management consulting efforts for public security. Brooks has also held sales roles at Lee Technologies, EES Inc. and International Paper Corporation.
Christian Heiter, Chief Technology Officer, Engineering
As the chief technology officer, Christian Heiter drives HDS Federal’s strategic direction to provide mission-oriented solutions for federal agencies. Working with HDS corporate, his team develops a collective set of solutions to address critical challenges within the government ecosystem. Prior to HDS Federal, Heiter was a member of the technical staff at Hewlett Packard, where he led a team to create new technologies and conduct advanced research with agencies, including the Defense Advance Research Projects Agency. He also served as the technical director for the High Performance Technology Group. Heiter also held roles at Digital Equipment Corporation.
Brian Houston, Vice President, Solution Sales
Brian Houston brings more than 15 years of technical sales experience and leads the engineering team responsible for helping customers transform their federal infrastructures with cutting edge technologies. Houston and his team support pre-sales, post sales and solution services at HDS Federal. Prior to HDS Federal, Houston served as data center manager for Wellpoint Blue Cross Blue Shield, worked at Hitachi Data Systems as a senior customer engineer and was an electronic warfare specialist in the United States Navy.
Don Godwin, Chief Financial Officer
Don Godwin serves as chief financial officer for Hitachi Data Systems Federal. In this role, Godwin is responsible for all financial aspects of HDS Federal. Prior to joining Hitachi Data Systems Federal in 2016, Godwin spent 20 years with Harris Corporation and its predecessor companies. Don most recently served as chief financial officer of Harris Corporation's Critical Networks business unit.
Monica DeNeale, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Monica DeNeale serves as general counsel and corporate secretary for Hitachi Data Systems Federal Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Data Systems. In this role, DeNeale is responsible for legal, contractual and industrial security compliance. Prior to joining Hitachi Data Systems Federal in 2013, DeNeale provided legal and compliance support to the U.S. public sector sales and channel organizations as vice president, senior counsel at CA Technologies. DeNeale has also held various positions in the legal departments of VeriSign, Inc. and Catapult Technology, Ltd., where she focused primarily on commercial transactions and government contracts compliance.
